Quetico 17 Arrival in New Mexico
We often receive mail from our customers praising the quality and look of our canoes. However, we were pleased to receive this letter from a shipper raving about the quality of our crating, as well as the look of our canoe. The fact that canoe stood out through layers of protective plastic, and the fact that our crate impressed a shipper who handles them every day was high praise indeed. - ed.
Dear Wayne and Keith:
I just wanted to let you know that the canoe arrived in perfect condition in Albuquerque a couple of weeks ago. We'll be sending it to Mexico on Friday. The canoe AND your crating job made quite a stir with the Estes folks at the Albuquerque terminal. The entire company was intrigued by the suspended crating arrangement and expressed the wish that all large fragile items would be shipped like that. (Yours was apparently the first canoe that Estes had ever shipped through Albuquerque, according to the staff.)
Also, no one had ever seen a modern, lightweight Kevlar canoe, let alone one in translucent green. Canoes are few and far between in the Southwest, so the arrival of this one was even more of a sensation than the crating.
All in all, I was glad that I went along to pick up the canoe for the reaction of the Estes staff alone. Beyond that, the canoe looks great. Thanks again for the great packaging.
Thanks,
Mark S.R. Willams
