Webbed seats

4. Seats

Which would you rather sit on all day, a flexible, breathable webbed seat, or a plastic bucket seat? We believe paddlers would rather be comfortable. Plus, webbed seats allow you to shift your weight from side to side to balance your canoe. They are ideal for smaller paddlers. The sturdy wood frames on our seats are laminated for extra strength and warp-resistance.

Grommets

5. Grommets

We put grommets at each end of all our canoes. We think you might want to tie your canoe to a tree when you pull-up on shore. Grommets make it a lot easier to tie the ends of your canoe when car-topping. Other builders don’t seem to think that’s important. Or, maybe their hulls aren’t strong enough.
