Brandon Trafananko

Brandon compiled this great video of all season adventure in Ontario, Canada. Of course it features a Souris River Canoe.

Mark Millan
Kingston, Ontario

Mark sent us this great picture of his son and daughter taking their red Quetico 17 on its maiden voyage in Frontenac Provincial Park. He wrote: "Attached is a photo of our son and daughter on Otter Lake at Frontenac Provincial Park, on Thanksgiving weekend. This was their long-awaited maiden voyage in our new Quetico 17. They loved it, as do we. Thanks for building such a perfect tripping canoe."

Eliyahu Shiffman
Israel

In 2009, we sold a canoe to Eliyahu Shiffman, of Israel. Soon after, we received photos of him paddling his red Quetico 16, on the Sea of Galilee. He is with his dog Angel, and the photos were taken by his wife Sara Shiffman. The Golan Heights are in the background. These photos were first published in the first issue of our CanoeHead e-newsletter.

Do you have photos of your Souris River Canoe you'd like to share? E-mail your photos along with a brief note giving us permission to publish them to admin@sourisriver.com and we'll post them here.

Debbie Hartmann
Minnesota, U.S.A.

In January 2010, Debbie wrote us to say: "My Souris River Quetico 16 is my pride and joy. I made it part of my Christmas card this year, and thought I would share it with you guys. (See her fine photography at: http://www.paddletrampphotography.com/.)

Alex Kuehn
Tuebingen, Germany

When Alex heard that we were putting the Prospector 17.5 back into production, he sent these photos of a trip to Italy. They include some practice with canoe-over-canoe rescue. For more photos and a writeup (in German), visit his blog at: http://paddelblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/monte-orfano-loop.html.

(Note that these photos are of an older model Souris River Prospector 17.5. We no longer offer some of the options shown here, such as the bucket seats or the gel-coat finish.)

John Wegman
Woodland Caribou Provincial Park

Shane Crounse took this stunning photo of John Wegman (stern) and Dave Bond (bow) on Wrist Lake in Woodland Caribou Provincial Park. They were paddling Souris River Canoes Quetico 17's rented from Goldseekers Canoe Outfitters in Red Lake, and reported that "they were superb boats for this trip." And, yes, that would be a caribou they are looking at.

Willie Cox sent us this photo of his cherry red Quetico 17, nestled on the shore of Mansanita Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, in northern California.

Mark Gagliono

Mark put together a great video showing the stability and handling abilities of a Souris River Quetico 16 as he paddles it into heavy waves on Mille Lacs Lake in central Minnesota.
